They are draft eligible, which is why they are listed in the player pool spreadsheet. If they go undrafted they stay on your team and you can do whatever you want with them (as long as you don't violate the salary structure rules).

this has definitely been asked, but I can't find it. How are current arbitration eligible players handled? Do they do into the free agent pool, stick to the current franchise or are they draft eligible? Arb players are on a roster and are therefore in the draft pool.

Both players you reference are pitchers and are found in the list under the "pitchers" tab.

Yeah, ok. Didn't notice that you have pitchers vs position players separated. Makes sense, since they have different sets of rating categories. Next time I'll think before I speak. Thanks.

I encourage, and always have encouraged, owners to speak up if there is ANYTHING they are even slightly unsure of. As I said once before in this thread, If you have a question about something, chances are others may also have that same question (even if they don't know it yet). Asking any and all questions is a positive for this process in every way.

Not so much a question, but can we get this forum linked as the official blog for the world? It will make it easier to find it and you might not have to keep posting it in the World Chat

Is there a Draft Tourney after this one? I.E is there anything to prevent someone from playing a super long game and using the draft and the next four seasons where 19 year old prospects will be massively undervalued compared to typical and amassing a team built to win 120 games a season for the decade after the tourney is over?

Yes, the hope is constantly running draft tournaments with this world.

I not sure I follow the new amateur draft rule. Just for clarity, the new rule now requires any team with 2 or more comp picks to sign 7 people? Can you skip a pick or two as long as you sign the required minimum in the first five rounds? For example, if you have R1, R1*, R1*, R1*, R2, R3, R4, R5, can we sign R1,R1*,R1*,R1*,R2,R3,R5? Skipping R4.

I re-read the rule and understand we must sign the first 7. So my next stupid question is: What if we only have one comp pick, do we need to sign 6 in that case?

The rule is The first 7 draftees OR all of the draftees through the first five rounds who are willing to sign for slot money. Whichever is less. So the typical team will only need to sign 5. If anyone has comp picks they will be required to sign more than 5 but no more than the first 7 guys drafted.

There are 7 teams without a comp pick this season and I think 8 teams with one comp pick. That leaves 17 teams that will have to sign seven. I think this is an important change from the amount of people that are affected. Maybe it should be announced in the world chat to review the new rule.

I think this is an important change from the amount of people that are affected. Maybe it should be announced in the world chat to review the new rule. I am awaiting the last 3 owners to post that they understand the rules. Once they do I will certainly bring this to the forefront. When compared to the way the rule was originally written it is actually less burdensome, as it caps the amount at 7 instead of a blanket EVERY player drafted through the first 5 rounds, which could end up being quite a large number. It effects 12 franchises by reducing their liability in complying with this rule.
