I apologize to you all.
Sometimes I don't see the forest for the trees. I've been so busy compiling the draft pool spreadsheet and trying to get all of the small details finalized that I have not done a very good job of thoroughly explaining how this long process will unfold.
Here is an overview of what I expect to happen:
1) We are still awaiting one final owner. I asked him to be sure he was in by Sunday night. If he cannot be, then I will replace him.
2) Once we have all 32 owners and they have all purchased their GC and confirmed, we will get a draft order generated for the City draft.
3) Sometime in the very near future I will post a link to the draft pool spreadsheet. From that time we will have AT LEAST two full weeks to allow everyone ample time to review, rank, formulate a strategy, etc.etc.
4) The city draft will likely take awhile. I am thinking between 4-7 days. (This group may get it done quicker than that)
5) We will then play musical chairs and all pull out and re-enter into our correct locations. Hopefully this takes only a day or 2 at the most.
6) Sometime around two weeks after I send out the draft pool spreadsheet we will begin the Big Draft. The first two rounds will be un-timed.
7) Once we see how fast/slow those three events (city draft and 1st two rounds of player draft) go, we can decide as a group how we wish to proceed. We will have to try to strike a balance between allowing time for owners to not get skipped very often, and finishing the draft in a "reasonable amount of time" (a phrase that will have different meanings to each owner).
Any reference to "time slots" in previous posts and/or site mail communications is alluding to a POTENTIAL schedule that MAY become necessary if we are progressing too slowly for the taste of the majority of our owners.
I hope this clarifies a few things and gives everyone a better perspective on what we are trying to do and how we might try to accomplish it in a way that is fair and considerate of as many owners as possible.
As always if there are any questions please post them in the Q&A thread, so everyone can be on the same page as much as possible.
